The following pupils were declared winners during the 29th annual regional History Day event for grades six to 12, sponsored last weekend by Youngstown State University, the YSU history department and the Phi Alpha Theta history honor society. Those earning first- and second-place awards in the paper, documentary and performance categories as well as those winning first, second and third places and honorable mentions in the exhibit categories will now advance to state competition in May. Winners there advance to a national contest.
