ON THE MEND: The slow road to recovery has led me back to The Vindicator's main office after nearly six weeks at home. I'm feeling better as I battle my neck condition, cervical dystonia. The pain, for the most part, has gone away, and while I look like a combination of Stephen Hawkings and Timmy from South Park sitting in my Obusforme chair at my desk, I'm in good spirits.
Training session: The Mahoning Republican Party's central committee and key local GOP volunteers will hold a training session at 9:30 a.m. April 24 at party headquarters on U.S. Route 224 in Boardman with Bush/Cheney re-election organization officials to discuss local efforts to get the vote out for the Republican ticket.
Political meeting: The Democrats of the 17th and 6th Districts, a local political organization, will meet at 7 p.m. April 20 at the Poland Community Baseball Association's hall on Sheridan Road.
Finance reports: Post-primary campaign finance reports are due today at county boards of elections. It will be interesting to see how much the primary winners and losers spent on the race.
