Warren's Hanshaw is set for fight at Gund Arena

LOWELLVILLE -- Tony Hanshaw of Warren will be part of an eight-card pro boxing show April 16 at Gund Arena in Cleveland.
The night's main event with be a lightweight battle between Angel Manfredy of Gary, Ind., and Craig Weber of Perrysburg.
Sanctioned by the International Boxing Association, Manfredy will match is 43-7-1 (32 knockouts) record against Weber's 19-1-1 (10 KOs).
Manfredy's most impressive victory was an eighth-round TKO of Arturo Gatti in January 1998 in Atlantic City, N.J.
Opportunity
For Weber, this is an opportunity against a world class fighter, with a win possibly boosting him to the upper echelon among world lightweights.
Both men, age 29, were succinct in what they had to say.
"I need the work with several big fights coming up," said Manfredy, "but make no mistake about me taking Weber for granted because he is a very good prospect, who I better not be over-confident about."
A co-feature will have middleweights Dallas Vargas (16-1, 10 knockouts) from Toledo in the ring for a 10-rounder with Joe DiSalvo (10-0, 7 knockouts) of Cleveland.
Vargas, managed by Pat Nelson, is a standout prospect who possibly could fight Kelly Pavlik later this year.
Hanshaw was a recent addition to the card by co-promoter and matchmaker Tom Vacca. Hanshaw (16-0, 13 knockouts) has been in rehab from shoulder surgery since a July 2002 decision over Etianne Whitaker.
Kevin Butts (10-2-1, 5 knockouts) from Cleveland will be Hanshaw's opponent in a light heavyweight six-rounder.
Tickets for show range from $25 to $200. The card will be televised by the Telefutura Network.
