Forum, union in accord
YOUNGSTOWN -- Forum Health said it reached a tentative agreement overnight with the union representing 1,500 of its employees at Northside Medical Center in Youngstown and Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. Spokesman John Gonda said no details were available at press time this morning.
District 1199 of the Service Employees International Union represents service and maintenance workers, licensed practical nurses, housekeeping and laundry workers, pharmacists, physical therapists and technicians. Their contract was set to expire at midnight today.
Park sale completed
SANDUSKY -- Cedar Fair, the owner of Cedar Point amusement park, has completed its acquisition of Six Flags Worlds of Adventure in Aurora for $145 million. The park has been renamed Geauga Lake.
