NESHANNOCK SCHOOLS Officials move ahead with renovations

One project will be advertised for bids next month.
NEW CASTLE, Pa. -- Renovations will continue in the Neshannock School District.
School directors authorized Public Financial of Harrisburg to proceed with preparation of a $4.85-million-dollar bond sale Wednesday.
Board President Frank Rondinelli said bond proceeds will be spent on completing the elementary school project; repair of the high school gymnasium divider door; laying concrete on the bus garage floor; maintenance and new technology lab equipment at the elementary school; renovation of the high school kitchen; changing district offices into a large group instruction room; and an estimated $600,000 in auditorium renovations and $170,000 in new stadium lights.

Rondinelli said the auditorium project will be advertised for bids in early May and the district would like construction for the five-month project to begin mid-June.
