PREP BASEBALL Chaney gets first City win



Sean Satterlee helped Ursuline upend Boardman.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Chaney High baseball team scored 10 runs in the first inning and four in the second to cruise past The Rayen School 14-4 in a City Series game Wednesday at Oakland Field.
Joel Imler had three hits, Adam Boris four RBIs and Aaron Boris two hits for the Cowboys (2-0, 1-0 City), who threw a different pitcher in each of the five innings. Rick Hlinka earned the victory.
Rayen (0-2, 0-1) had two hits -- by Barry Hutchins and Jermaine Cooper.
Ursuline 8, Boardman 3
BOARDMAN -- Sean Satterlee had three hits, two runs scored and two RBIs as the Irish (2-1) upended Boardman.
Brad Borghetti added two hits for Ursuline, and pitcher Josh Tedesco earned his first victory of the season. Tedesco and reliever Phillip Besoui limited Boardman (0-2) to three hits.
Campbell 8, Mooney 7
CAMPBELL -- Mark Such of Campbell (3-0) went 3-for-4 and led off the bottom of the seventh inning with a game-winning home run at Roosevelt Park. He also hit two singles.
Anthony Zembillas hit a pair of doubles, while Antoni Zembillas hit a double and single, as did Lonnie McQueen, who drove in two runs.
Jon Grist hit a double and single, and Kyle McCarthy two singles for the Cardinals.
Fitch 7, Poland 6
AUSTINTOWN -- The Falcons scored six runs in the fifth inning and handed Poland a setback.
Poland (1-2) scored four times in the top of the fifth to take a 6-1 lead.
The Falcons (1-0) used five walks -- three with the bases loaded -- to tie the game. An RBI single by John Mang gave Fitch a 7-6 lead.
Dan Bertolini doubled for the Bulldogs.
