NBA Surging Grizzlies top Cavs, 92-74

Cleveland is three games behind Boston with four games remaining.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) -- The list of season accomplishments for the Memphis Grizzlies keeps growing.

Fifty wins? They've got that, too, after James Posey's 35 points carried the Grizzlies past the fading Cleveland Cavaliers 92-74 Wednesday night.
In the absence of some of the Grizzlies' best players, Posey topped 30 points for the third time in five games, and has been Memphis' top scorer in the past five games, with a 24.2-point average.
Dajuan Wagner led Cleveland with 18 points, shooting 8-for-12. LeBron James, guarded by Posey and Shane Battier most of the night, was held to 14 points on 4-of-11 shooting, and no 3-point attempts. Zydrunas Ilgauskas scored 10 points and had five blocks.
Memphis' leading scorer, Pau Gasol, missed his second game with a right foot injury, while reserve Bonzi Wells sat out his second straight with back spasms. With point guard Jason Williams serving his one-game suspension for actions after Monday's ejection at Utah, that left the Grizzlies without three of their top five scorers.
"Posey has been like that all year," Grizzlies guard Mike Miller said. "He's playing well and he's shooting the ball so well. ... We just have to step out of the way when he starts doing that kind of stuff."
Taking charge
Posey's 24 first-half points catapulted Memphis to a 55-39 lead at the break. Memphis never let the lead get below double digits in the second half.
"We were not only tired, but we just didn't play worth a damn either," Cleveland coach Paul Silas said. "That's it, plain and simple."
Battier scored 13 points for Memphis, while Jake Tsakalidis and Lorenzen Wright scored 10 each. Wright grabbed 10 rebounds.
"They came out, made shots, and we were less aggressive in the first half," James said. "We tried to get more aggressive in the second half, but we were unable to get back."
Cleveland (32-46) is three games behind Boston (35-43) for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Each team has four games remaining. Philadelphia is 33-45.
For Memphis, the 50 wins marked another surprising milestone in a surprising season.
Instead, the Grizzlies are in the playoffs and still fighting for homecourt advantage. The win put Memphis a half game ahead of Dallas for the Western Conference's fifth slot, and three behind San Antonio.
