NEW YORK -- Dikembe Mutombo neutralized nemesis Eddy Curry while grabbing 14 rebounds and blocking four shots, and New York returned to the playoffs for the first time in three years. Mutombo helped contain the 7-foot Curry, who shot 9-for-11 and had 26 points and 14 rebounds the last time the teams met. Curry, a 68-percent shooter in his first 10 career games against the Knicks, finished 7-for-21 from the field this time for 17 points. Stephon Marbury had 20 points and 12 assists, and Penny Hardaway had 21 points for the Knicks.
Bucks 116, Wizards 107
MILWAUKEE -- Michael Redd scored 35 points to lead Milwaukee to its fourth straight victory after the Bucks trailed by 17 points in the second period. Desmond Mason scored a season-high 27 points, Toni Kukoc had 22 points and 12 rebounds and Brian Skinner had 15 points and 14 boards. Larry Hughes led Washington with 19 points.
Pacers 94, Raptors 90
TORONTO -- Indiana eliminated Toronto from playoff contention, with Jermaine O'Neal scoring 22 points and grabbing 11 rebounds. Ron Artest scored 19 points for the Pacers, while reserve Al Harrington added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers. Donyell Marshall scored 26 points and had 10 rebounds for the Raptors, who have lost eight of their last nine games.
Heat 104, Celtics 101
MIAMI -- Lamar Odom had 24 points and 10 rebounds, and Miami erased a seven-point fourth-quarter deficit with a 15-2 burst. Boston's Paul Pierce had 31 points, but missed what would have been a go-ahead 3-pointer with 10 seconds remaining. Ricky Davis added 22 points for the Celtics.
Spurs 96, SuperSonics 75
SAN ANTONIO -- Tim Duncan had 21 points and 10 rebounds for surging San Antonio. The Spurs, winners of seven straight, ran off a 19-4 burst early in the second half. Ray Allen paced Seattle with 17 points.
Trail Blazers 87, Warriors 81
PORTLAND, Ore. -- Darius Miles scored 21 points to keep the playoff race close for Portland, which has won 11 of its last 15 games. The Trail Blazers moved into a three-way tie for the eighth playoff berth in the Western Conference with Denver -- which beat Phoenix -- and Utah. Clifford Robinson led the Warriors with 23 points.
Nuggets 111, Suns 96
PHOENIX -- Carmelo Anthony had 36 points and 11 rebounds for Denver. Voshon Lenard added 18 points for the Nuggets. Joe Johnson led the Suns with 22 points, and Amare Stoudemire had 19 points and 11 rebounds.
Rockets 102, Clippers 79
LOS ANGELES -- Jim Jackson and Cuttino Mobley scored 21 points apiece as Houston snapped a five-game losing streak and handed Los Angeles its 12th straight setback. Steve Francis, playing with a swollen bursa sac in his left elbow, had 10 points and 11 assists to help Houston complete a four-game sweep of the Clippers. Corey Maggette scored 22 points after missing his first seven shots, and Elton Brand had 20 points and 10 rebounds for Los Angeles.
