THURSDAY
XCroatian Home, 3200 Vestal Road, Youngstown, will serve spaghetti dinners from 4:30 to 8 p.m. The meals will be available with red or white sauces, and will include meatballs, salad, roll with butter and coffee. Proceeds will benefit the lodge building fund.
XPost and auxiliary members of VFW Triangle Post 2799, 3161 E. South Range Road, New Springfield, will serve spaghetti dinners with salad, bread and coffee or tea from 4 to 8 p.m. The cost is $5 for adults and $2.50 for children under 12. Carryout dinners are $5.25.
FRIDAY
XCardinal Mooney High School baseball team will sponsor the annual fish fry from 5 to 8 p.m. at the school cafeteria, 2545 Erie St., Youngstown. Dine-in or takeouts available.
XHubbard VFW 3767 Auxiliary, 710 W. Liberty St., will hold a fish fry from 3:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $6.75 for large dinners, baked or fried, and $5 for small dinners. SATURDAY
XFirst Baptist Church, corner of Eastland and Surrey Road S.E., Warren, will sponsor a creamed turkey and biscuit dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. The menu also includes mashed potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, applesauce, dessert and beverage. The cost is $6 for adults, $3 for children from 4 to 10 years old and free to children 3 and younger. XHappy Hearts Tamburitzans will hold a bake sale beginning at 9 a.m. at the Wal-Mart in Boardman. Orders will be accepted by Branka Ladd, (330) 758-5506, for a limited number of frozen or baked apple and cheese strudels, costing $7 each.
XVincent United Methodist Church, Walnut Street, Jackson Center, Pa., will hold a stuffed chicken breast dinner beginning at 4 p.m. Meals include mashed potatoes, vegetable, coleslaw, dessert and beverage. XBoar's Head Ladies of St. John's Episcopal Church, 323 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will sponsor a chicken dinner from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 14 at the church. The menu will feature salad, mashed potatoes and gravy, bread and butter, pie and beverage. Cost is $6, and containers will be provided for takeout orders. No reservations are necessary.
