XYOUNGSTOWN -- St. Columba Cathedral was the setting March 6 for the wedding of Jennifer Carey Giansante, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Giansante, all of 568 E. Midlothian Blvd., and Michael James Young, son of Christine Lipinski and James Young, all of 377 E. Boston Ave.
Monsignor Lawrence Fye officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, and later the couple received guests during a reception at Archangel Michael Center, Campbell.
The couple live in Boardman.
Mrs. Young graduated from Ford Beauty Academy, Boardman. She is a makeup artist at Casals De Spa and Salon, Canfield.
Mr. Young is a scale house worker at BFI, Lowellville.
A beaded and embroidered bodice highlighted the bride's silk strapless gown styled with a full skirt.
Sara Orosz was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lacey Giansante and Alexis Giansante, the bride's sisters; Christina Noufer, Tabitha Schewirey, Elizabeth Hahn, Mary Jo Hahn, Sharmayne Hahn and Lisa Mosconi, the bride's cousins; and Lesley Fedor and Kelly Soda. They wore cerise dresses. Miniature bride was Ally Gay, the bride's cousin, and Amber Johnstone, the groom's cousin, was flower girl.
Casey Sawicki Jr. served as best man. Groomsmen were Jason Lipinski and Jonathan Lipinski, the groom's cousins; John Hahn Jr., the bride's cousin; and Chris Kent, Randy Conn, Gary Julius, Bob Sefcik, Ricky Thorpe, Bob Ortiz and Kenny Thomas. Ushers were Bill Buris and Rob Runyon, and ring bearer was Steven Johnstone, the groom's cousin.
