Bradley's spot now between Crisp and Escobar

LAKELAND, Fla. (AP) -- Milton Bradley may still technically be on the team, but he's not part of the Cleveland Indians' game plan.
Manager Eric Wedge said Friday that Coco Crisp and Alex Escobar will share center field, Bradley's position until he was banned from Indians' training camp Thursday.
The temperamental center fielder was banned a day after getting pulled from an exhibition game by Wedge for not running out a popup.
Bradley, who has a troubled history on and off the field, was expected to bat cleanup for the Indians this season. He signed a $1.73 million, one-year contract in November. Now, Cleveland is trying to trade him.
Before the Bradley situation, Wedge had planned to keep just one extra outfielder, and Escobar and Crisp had been competing for the job.
"I've said all along that Coco and Alex both deserved to be on the team, but I hate to see it play out this way," Wedge said.
Escobar brings more power to the lineup, while Crisp brings more speed.
Escobar said he expects to play all three outfield positions.
"It depends on the situation and who gets days off," he said.
Trying to work deal
Indians general manager Mark Shapiro has discussed a deal involving Bradley with as many as eight teams, and "four or five are legitimate and serious."
He said Friday that a trade could happen over the weekend.
Bradley's agent, Seth Levinson, said both sides had agreed to the separation to weigh their options.
