XCAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. -- The Skylight Chapel aboard the cruise ship, Mariner of the Seas, docked at Cape Canaveral, was the setting at 1:45 p.m. Feb. 29 for the wedding of Amanda Lynn Woodyard and Clinton Scott Douglass, both of 30 Mathews Drive, Hilton Head Island, S.C.
Linda May presided at the ceremony, and a reception followed in the Cloud Nine Cocktail Lounge. After a cruise to the eastern Caribbean islands, the couple live in Hilton Head Island.
Parents of the bride are Marcia Lynn Payne-Woodyard, Haywood Street, East Liverpool, and Douglas E. Woodyard, 750 E. Fifth St., Salem. The groom is a son of Hatsuko Douglass of Hilton Head Island, and Dale Douglass of Brownfield, Maine.
Enhanced with an organza overlay and beading, the bride's strapless ivory satin A-line gown featured a chapel train.
A sage green gown was worn by Tara Woodyard, the bride's sister and honor attendant.
The groom's father performed the duties of best man, and the bride's brother, Jonathan Woodyard, served as best man.
The bride, a radiologic technologist with Hilton Head Regional Medical Center, graduated from Kent State University, Salem Campus, with an associate in applied science.
The groom majored in business administration at the University of South Carolina in Columbia, S.C. He is a computer technician with the Charos Design Computer Co. in Hilton Head Island.
