Spring isn't the only thing in the air

Pete Cordon of Boardman tends to the boiling of maple sugar at the Chester Long Cabin in Boardman Park. Maple-syrup preparation can be seen up close at the park today and Sunday. The township park's annual maple syrup festival also features a pancake breakfast, maple syrup sales, Civil War re-enactors, historical exhibits and woodcarver exhibitions. The festival is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. both days. Admission is free.
