Skin savers

Skin savers
If your skin could speak (and let's all be thankful that it can't), it would probably tell you that it's not crazy about winter. Too much wind and cold air, not to mention wool -- no matter how good it looks in a sweater, you can bet that your skin longs for nice cool cotton.
Now that spring is here, give your skin something to thank you for: a nice exfoliating scrub and a slathering of whipped body cream. Healing Garden, the beauty company that makes great-smelling, affordable products, has new body scrubs and "souffl & eacute;" creams that are guaranteed to elicit cheers from winter-worn skin. The scrub ($6.75 for 7 ounces) gets rid of dead skin, and the cream ($6.75 for 8 ounces) totally nourishes and moisturizes. They're available in some of Healing Garden's most popular fragrances, including Mardarintheraphy, Green Teatheraphy and Zzztheraphy.

Amazing apple
You can't have too much of a good thing -- that's our basic feeling about Altoids. No matter what they come up with, you can bet we're going to try it. The newest thing from the maker of curiously strong mints is an addition to the Altoids Sours collection. The newest flavor, joining tangerine and citrus is ... drum roll, please ... apple! They taste like an amped-up Jolly Rancher, though these candies are red, not green, which is somehow one step up on the sophistication scale. They're tiny, so you can sneak a couple during class, and they come in a cute tin, just like the rest of the Altoids line. Look for them wherever you usually get your Altoids fix.
