Trump's assistant is at work in role

NEWSDAY
When Robin Himmler ushers the apprentices into her boss's private office in the TV show "The Apprentice," she's not only acting, she's working.
Himmler, who in real life has been one of Donald Trump's executive assistants for the past four years, was conscripted into service as ... one of Trump's executive assistants for her bit part in Trump's mega-successful NBC series.
"It's definitely been an experience," Himmler said last week, declining to comment on whether she received extra pay for the service.
Himmler says she doesn't have to leave work for work -- there's a studio set for the show on the 26th floor of Trump Tower, where the boss' office is. "Sometimes we film it in the morning, or in the evening," she says. She tries to escape early Thursday -- to watch the show, of course.
Apparently, other Trumpettes will be enlisted for future appearances, as themselves, on "The Apprentice." An NBC spokesman said that Trump's longtime right hand, Norma Foerderer, will be on shortly. "The Apprentice" already has been renewed for the upcoming fall season.
