TRUMBULL COUNTY FACT seeks acts for events

The events are funded by Trumbull 100.
WARREN -- The Fine Arts Council of Trumbull County is looking for musicians and performers to help fill the season at Warren Community Amphitheater.
Two performance series, "Tune It Up!" and "Something TaDoo," are planned this year.
"Tune It Up!" is an event for emerging musical groups whose members are younger than 25. "Something TaDoo" will feature a wider variety of performance artists and has no age limit.
Both series are being coordinated through FACT.
Artists in both events must provide their own sound systems, and a small honorarium will be paid to each performing group.
"The arts council is very excited about the opportunity it has been given to present a number of performances at the Warren Community Amphitheater," said Bobbie Brown, FACT director. "The funding provided by Trumbull 100 will allow us to further showcase the talented people who live and work in the Mahoning Valley."
"Tune It Up!" was designed with the purpose of providing young adults of the Mahoning Valley an opportunity to showcase their talents and encourage them to participate in community arts programs. It will feature young adults as artists and audience members. Musicians from all genres may apply.
Performance schedules
"Tune It Up!" runs June 9, 16, 23, 30, July 14, 21, 24, Aug. 4, 11, 18, 25 and Sept. 1. The concerts are slated for 7 to 9 p.m.
Artists will be selected on a first-to-apply, first-selected basis. Audition or demo recordings are preferred but not required.
"Something TaDoo" runs June 10, 17, 24, July 1, 15, 22, 29 and Aug. 5, 12, 19 and 26 with performances set from 7 to 9 p.m.
Artists who want to apply for either event may contact FACT at (330) 399-1212 or by e-mail at bbrown@trumbullarts.org. The deadline for entry is April 15.
Funding to support the events has been guaranteed by Trumbull 100, a group of local business owners whose mission is to "embrace and facilitate opportunities that enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Trumbull County."
