HUBBARD
March 24
Bad checks: An employee at Cortland Bank, 890 W. Liberty St., reported the bank cashed several checks later determined to be stolen.
March 26
Burglary: A Hubbard woman called 911 to report a burglary to a residence in the 600 block of Burdie Drive.
March 27
Truck theft: A man in the 700 block of Penhale Avenue alleged his son stole the man's truck.
March 28
Criminal mischief: A woman in the 30 block of Henry Street discovered someone had broken one of the windows on her van.
Arrest: Police arrested a Hubbard man on state Route 616 on a warrant charging him with five counts of receiving stolen property.
Assault: A Christian Avenue woman reported someone struck her with an ice cream cone while she was at Dairy Queen, 119 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.

Recovered property: A dog was recovered after a woman in the 600 block of Burdie Drive reported it stolen from her yard.
March 30
Theft: A man in the 500 block of West Liberty Street reported his vehicle broken into. Also, police discovered that about five other cars parked in the same area had been broken into.

March 23
Misuse of credit card: A man in the 900 block of Chrysann Drive alleged his son, 22, took the man's credit card and used it to buy $237.51 worth of merchandise.
March 24
Theft: An employee at Goodwill Industries, 2747 Belmont Ave., discovered her change purse missing from her jacket that was in a locker. A $260 check and $56 in cash also were missing.
Felonious assault: Police arrested a 30-year-old Girard man at PDQ Car Wash, 1920 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, on a felonious assault charge. Two people alleged the suspect used his car to ram into their vehicle several times after an argument.
March 25
Truck theft: A Niles man reported his 1986 GMC S-15 truck stolen from a rear parking lot at Auto Zone, 3109 Belmont Ave.
Burglary: Someone broke into a home in the 4300 block of Shady Road and removed two locked boxes from a cabinet. About $300 worth of coins, as well as $30,000 worth of U.S. Savings Bonds, were taken from a dresser drawer.
March 26
Burglary: A woman in the 1700 block of Arthur Lloyd Road said that she found a Youngstown man, 27, in her home and that he refused to leave. Police determined someone broke into her residence by forcing a rear sliding-glass door off its tracks. A key ring containing a few keys was missing.
Theft: A Youngstown man alleged a woman took a washing machine and a dryer, valued at $400 each, before moving from her apartment in the 200 block of Colonial Drive.
Theft by deception: An employee at Speedway gas station, 4210 Belmont Ave., told police a Toledo man, 43, used three counterfeit $20 bills to pay for gasoline.
Theft: An employee at DePizzo Foods Inc., 316 Church Hill-Hubbard Road, reported parts for a freezer, including two blowers and a compressor, were missing. The items were valued at $5,000.
March 29
Burglary: A man in the 1700 block of Lucretia Drive reported someone broke into his garage and gained entry into his residence through the garage. His home was ransacked and two footlockers, $5,300 in cash and a $170 paintball gun were stolen.
Identity theft: A woman in the 1900 block of Oriel-Rodgers Road reported receiving a $171 collection notice from a cellular phone company for services she did not register for. The woman told police someone may have used her name and Social Security number to obtain the service.
Criminal damaging: A man reported someone destroyed his mailbox at his residence in the 2200 block of Pleasant Valley Road. The loss was estimated at $400.
GIRARD
March 28
Vandalism: A man called 911 to report some juveniles tossed something through a window at Second National Bank, 29 E. Liberty St. Police found a large steel pellet inside the bank.
Breaking and entering: Nothing was missing after someone damaged a door at Kuzman's Bar, 1025 S. State St., possibly with a sledgehammer, while trying to break in. Officers also discovered some phone lines had been cut.
Theft: A Masury man alleged another man took a citizens band radio from a truck the victim was leasing, while the vehicle was parked at Kuzman's Bar.
Attempted burglary: A man in the 100 block of West Howard Street reported hearing suspicious noises in his home and seeing someone fleeing. Two hinges on his front door had been pried off and a front-porch screen door was found propped open.
March 29
Theft: Someone pumped $15 worth of gasoline and left a Shell gas station, 420 S. State St., without paying.
Robbery: An employee at Family Dollar, 900 N. State St., reported a man in his early 20s reached over and grabbed money from a cash register and, when she tried to stop him, the suspect pushed her in the chest, causing her to fall backward against a wall.
Arrest: After investigating a possible domestic situation at a residence in the 900 block of North Highland Avenue, police arrested a Girard man at the home on a charge of disorderly conduct.
