SHARON Police: Man faces more drug charges



SHARON, Pa. -- Police said a man charged with trying to smuggle marijuana into the Mercer County Jail is facing additional drug charges after officers serving a warrant found more suspected marijuana in his possession.
Clyde W. Richards III, 18, of Orchard Street, was charged in a March 22 arrest warrant with taking contraband into the jail. The charge was filed by the county sheriff's office.
Sharon police learned Wednesday that Richards was at a home in the first block of South Oakland Avenue and went there at 7 p.m. to serve the warrant.
They said they found suspected marijuana in his possession packaged in small bags for apparent sale.
He was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia.
He was held overnight for arraignment today.
