AROUND THE NHL Saturday's other games

Blues 4, Predators 1
NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Brian Savage scored the tiebreaking goal at 2:43 of the third period as the St. Louis Blues clinched their 25th consecutive playoff berth.
The Blues' run, which started in 1980, is the longest such streak in major league sports.
St. Louis, assured of the Western Conference's seventh seed, needed a late-season surge to extend that streak. The Blues' first victory in Nashville this season gave them their 10th win in 15 games.
St. Louis scored a pair of empty-net goals in the final 90 seconds.
Rangers 3, Capitals 2, OT
WASHINGTON -- Bobby Holik scored two goals, including the winner 1:08 into overtime.
It was just the second win for New York in its final 12 games. The Rangers finished this disappointing season with the sixth worst record in the NHL. That, however, is good enough to keep them out of the lottery for a chance at the top pick in the draft.
Mike Green also scored for the Rangers (27-40-7-8).
Jeff Halpern scored twice for Washington marking the first time this season he had more than one goal in a game.
Coyotes 2, Blackhawks 1, OT
GLENDALE, Ariz. -- Krys Kolanos scored 2:55 into overtime, completing a Phoenix rally.
Brian Boucher had 23 saves for Phoenix, which trailed for more than 42 minutes before Paul Mara finally solved Chicago rookie Adam Munro with 58.8 seconds left in regulation.
That forced the extra period and positioned the Coyotes to snap a five-game losing streak and win for only the second time in 22 games (2-13-4-3). The Blackhawks, who have one game left, will have the fewest wins in the NHL after their second overtime loss during a six-game skid.
Blackhawks rookie Tuomo Ruutu scored his 23rd goal, and Munro made 41 saves, nearly posting a shutout in his seventh NHL start.
Several of Munro's moves left fans gasping, including blocking the first penalty shot of his career with 4:44 left.
Phoenix's Ivan Novoseltsev got the free shot when defenseman Bryan Berard tripped him as he charged the net on a breakaway. On the attempt, Novoseltsev angled right and kept the puck low, but Munro dropped to his knees ahead of the shot.
Munro also made a chest stop on a hard, unchallenged shot by Mike Rupp with 9:50 left. The rebound came out to Rupp, but his second shot glanced harmlessly off the post.
But Rupp was on the boards behind the net when Tyson Nash passed him the puck for a quick assist to Mara just above the crease.
In the extra period, Mara added an assist by carrying the puck down the right wing and passing it to Derek Morris in the crease. Morris got it to Kolanos low in the left circle, and he took a one-timer from a sharp angle.
Phoenix outshot the Blackhawks 14-4 in the first period, but Munro preserved the scoreless tie, making four saves during Coyotes power plays that overlapped for 46 seconds.
Munro had an even bigger play with 7:34 left in the second, taking a shot by Brad Ference in the chest, falling on the puck and then trapping it between his skates after realizing that he'd lost it.
That paid off quickly.
Jim Vandermeer, pinned between two defenders in the right circle, got the puck to Tyler Arnason above the crease. Arnason flicked a crossing pass to Ruutu, who wristed a shot over Boucher's right shoulder with 3:06 left.
