YSU President Dr. David Sweet also put forth these administrative actions:
Notified the YSU Board of Trustees of forming a committee within the next several weeks to conduct a national search for a vice president for development and university relations. The full-time position has been vacant since July 1999. Dr. George McCloud, dean of the College of Fine and Performing Arts, was appointed special assistant to the president for development and public relations in August 2002 while maintaining his role as dean. He will be eligible for consideration for the new position.
Announced that searches will begin for the positions of senior development officer and prospect research coordinator. Funding for the two new positions will be provided by the university's strategic initiative fund.
Announced that the YSU Office of Alumni Relations, which is in the Division of Student Affairs, will become part of the Division of Development and Public Relations, effective today.
