The city's board of control approved these spending items and contracts Thursday:
Paying $3,009 to Vance's Law Enforcement of Columbus for a year's worth of ammunition for the police department.Spending up to $13,000 on Strategies and Tactics of Patrol Stops, or STOPS, for city police officers.Accepting at $5,000 state grant for a crash study focusing on the intersection at Belmont Avenue and Eastbound Service Road.Approving a $35,000 letter of credit for a performance bond and a $5,000 working capital loan for Underwood & amp; Associates of Youngstown to do work on the new Harding School project.Approving a letter of credit up to $5,500 for J & amp;J Construction of Youngstown for a bid bond to demolish condemned houses in the city.
