BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Dmitri Kalinin scored twice and Martin Biron stopped 23 shots for Buffalo. Derek Roy had a goal and assist, and Maxim Afinogenov, James Patrick and Chris Taylor also scored. It was Biron's second shutout of the season and 17th of his career, while he also recorded his 100th career victory.
Senators 5, Lightning 4, OT
TAMPA, Fla. -- Chris Phillips scored four minutes into overtime, giving Ottawa a season sweep of Tampa Bay. Daniel Alfredsson became the Senators' career goals leader in the third period and got an assist on the winner. Marian Hossa, Mike Fisher, and Martin Havlat also scored for Ottawa.
Detroit 5, Minnesota 3
DETROIT -- Brendan Shanahan had a goal and an assist, helping Detroit reduce its magic number to one point to clinch the top seed in the Western Conference. Darren McCarty, Jiri Fischer, Boyd Devereaux and Pavel Datsyuk scored the other Red Wings goals. Ray Whitney had two assists.
Maple Leafs 4, Thrashers 2
TORONTO -- Gary Roberts and Nik Antropov scored third-period goals and Toronto moved into a tie for first place in the Northeast Division. Tie Domi and Alexander Mogilny also scored for the Maple Leafs, and goalie Ed Belfour made 22 saves. Dany Heatley and Serge Aubin scored for the Thrashers.

SUNRISE, Fla. -- Kristian Huselius and Matt Cullen scored power-play goals for Florida. Olli Jokinen added an empty-net goal for the Panthers. Jaroslav Svoboda scored for Carolina.
Avalanche 2, Kings 1
DENVER -- Teemu Selanne scored his first goal in 20 games with 5:09 remaining, helping Colorado end a six-game winless streak. Matthew Barnaby also scored for the Avalanche.
Canucks 6, Coyotes 1
VANCOUVER, British Columbia -- Markus Naslund scored his first goal in 11 games and added an assist for Vancouver. Matt Cooke, Daniel Sedin and Brent Sopel also scored second-period goals for the Canucks.
