EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Paul Pierce overcame early foul trouble to score 18 of his 21 points in the second half for Boston. Ricky Davis added 17, and Mark Blount had 16 points and 15 rebounds for the Celtics.

ATLANTA -- James Posey scored a career-high 38 points -- including a buzzer-beating 3 to force a second overtime period. Posey also had 11 rebounds, and Jason Williams scored 22 points in the Grizzlies' sixth straight victory.

HOUSTON -- Kevin Garnett scored six of his 27 points in the last two minutes, and Sam Cassell added 24 points for Minnesota.
