EXHIBITION ROUNDUP Tigers hammer Westbrook in Cleveland's home finale

Coco Crisp hit a two-run homer to help the Indians win 13-11.
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. (AP) -- Opening day is looming and neither the Detroit Tigers nor the Cleveland Indians look ready for it.
The teams combined for 24 runs, 30 hits and six errors Thursday in a wind-blown game Detroit manager Alan Trammell would love to forget.
"The way we played, I just didn't like it," he said. "I thought the spring training games like that were over."
Coco Crisp hit a two-run homer in the seventh inning to help the Indians outlast the Tigers 13-11 in Cleveland's final home exhibition game this spring.
Cleveland led 4-1 after six innings before the club's combined for 20 runs over the final three.
Crisp followed up on his first homer by making a lunging catch before crashing into the center-field wall for the final out. His chances of making Cleveland's opening-day roster also improved when the Indians said they will try to trade Milton Bradley in the next few days.
Eric Munson, Alex Sanchez, Jason Knoedler and Neil Jenkins homered for the Tigers, who tagged reliever Jake Westbrook for eight runs and seven hits in one inning.
Reds 8, Pirates 4
BRADENTON, Fla. -- Sean Casey kept up his strong late-spring hitting with a run-scoring double and single, as Cincinnati maintained its Florida mastery of Pittsburgh.
The Reds won seven of eight against the Pirates, whose 19 losses are their most since they moved their spring training camp to Bradenton in 1969. The Pirates have two more games remaining.
The Pirates (11-19-1) had never lost more than 18 games in exhibition play.
The Reds are 17-16, but 10-15 against opponents other than Pittsburgh. They played their third consecutive game without center fielder Ken Griffey Jr., who strained his right calf Monday.
Griffey hit in a batting cage and ran on a treadmill at the Reds' complex in Sarasota and was to be re-evaluated today. He is expected to be ready for opening day.
Reds starter Todd Van Poppel allowed four runs, three earned, over four innings before Phil Norton, Todd Jones, John Riedling and Brian Reith combined for five scoreless innings.
With the score tied at 4, Pirates reliever Jason Boyd failed to get an out in a four-run Reds sixth that included RBI singles by Casey, Jermaine Clark and Ray Olmedo. Casey is hitting .375 (12-for-32) in his last 11 games.
Pirates starter Kris Benson gave up four runs and eight hits in five innings, but was encouraged with his injury-free spring after missing the second half of last season with a sore shoulder.
"I had no problems at all with my arm," he said. "I wanted to get my work done and everything in tune for the season, and I think I accomplished that."
