TELEVISION Q & amp;A

Q. A band has guest-starred a few times on the sitcom "According to Jim." Is it the same band that Jim Belushi performs with when he is not doing his show? -- J.W., Las Vegas, Nev.
A. The Sacred Hearts, the original House of Blues band, frequently drops in as Jim's garage blues band on the show. Two of the band members -- back-up vocalist John Rubano and drummer Tony Braunagel -- are recurring characters as well. Jim Belushi and The Sacred Hearts wrote and recorded the music for the show and tour together during breaks from taping.
Q. I would appreciate some background on Chef Giada De Laurentiis. She is on the Food Network. -- J.R., Providence, R.I.
A. Chef De Laurentiis trained at the famed Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Paris and worked in a number of Los Angeles' high-profile restaurants, including Wolfgang Puck's Spago. She's now in the private catering business and hosts "Everyday Italian," a cooking show on the Food Network in which she prepares homey dishes she enjoyed as a member of a large Italian family. One member of that family is the chef's grandfather, famed film producer Dino De Laurentiis.
