Construction alters the traffic flow on Interstates 79, 80

MERCER, Pa. -- Motorists should be alert to possible traffic congestion on sections of Interstates 79 and 80 in Mercer County now through Friday.
There will be lane restrictions in both the east- and westbound lanes of I-80 between Mileposts 18 and 20 because of concrete slab reconstruction.
The I-80 ramps at the I-79 interchange will also face temporary closures today through Wednesday as the ramps are repaved.
Shoulder work and pavement sealing will limit I-79 traffic to one northbound and one southbound lane at two locations, between Mileposts 131 and 136 and Mileposts 113 and 117.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation also announced that resurfacing on three Mercer County roadways originally scheduled for this fall will be postponed to next spring.
