CANFIELD -- Nemenz IGA in Canfield was awarded IGA's five-star rating, putting the store in the top 10 percent of the 1,600 IGA supermarkets nationwide. Henry Nemenz owns the store. The five-star rating is based on a review of every aspect of the store and its staff, about 1,200 categories are checked, and a store must achieve at least a 92 percent score to earn the rating.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The International Development Council, the nation's largest economic development professional association, has given the Regional Chamber a program award for the Grow Mahoning Valley initiative. Executive vice president Reid Dulberger accepted the award at the IDC annual conference in Cincinnati.
Grow Mahoning Valley was recognized as an innovative program in economic and business development which helped the region retain jobs while bringing more than $160 million in state and federal money back to the Valley for infrastructure projects.
