"Lunch & amp; Learn at the Library: The Pipe Dreamers." Sandra Gurvis, author of 10 books and hundreds of magazine articles, will dramatize her novel, "The Pipe Dreamers." Based on the shootings at Kent State University in May 1970, the novel is set in a small Ohio town during the student demonstrations against the Vietnam War. Dressed as a "flower child" to a background of the music of the time, Gurvis will assume the persona of her protagonists at Main, noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 14. Bring a brown-bag lunch, coffee is provided.
