XYOUNGSTOWN -- Sherri & aacute; Moniqu & eacute; Arrington and Darrell Lamont Benson were married at 3:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at Price Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church.
The Rev. Daniel Webb officiated for the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leroy Arrington Jr. of Youngstown and the son of Cora A. Benson and Darrell Johnson, both of Youngstown.
A reception followed at The Embassy, and the couple honeymooned in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. They live in Austintown.
The bride's white gown of satin and organza was trimmed with Alencon lace, pearls and sequins.
Kamilah Abrams, the maid of honor, wore a lavender gown. Purple gowns were worn by the bridesmaids, Tiffany Chavers, Tenieka Carlise, Heather Elly, Taunza Adams, Latrisha Benson, Letiecia Arrington and Germaine Ellis. Alaya Chavers was flower girl.
Best man was Louis Terry, and groomsmen were Clarence Hodge, Ellwood Jones, Andrew Blue, Stanley Jones, Daryl Boderick, Leroy Arrington III and Brian Benson. Dominic Benson was ring bearer, and ushers were Jason Davis, Maurice Newell and Willie Marshall. Also participating was Jamie Langley.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is an assembler at General Motors Corp. in Lordstown. The groom graduated from the UAW-GM Center for Human Resource Health & amp; Safety and a certified safety trainer at GM. He also graduated from the Western Reserve Institute Police Academy and is a part-time police officer at YSU.
