JACQUELYN HURTUK JOHN SOFRANKO
XBOARDMAN -- Jacquelyn M. Hurtuk and John D. Sofranko, both of 7460 Jaguar Drive, exchanged marriage vows before the Rev. Joseph A. Fata during a ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at St. Luke Church.
The bride is a daughter of Stephen T. Hurtuk, 7688 Spring Park Drive, and Mr. and Mrs. Keith A. Swagler, 124 Runnemede Drive. The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William Sofranko, 7013 Paxton Drive.
The couple received guests during a reception at Antone's Banquet Centre, then left for a honeymoon in the Bahamas. They live in Boardman.
Mrs. Sofranko is employed as a medical biller with Primary Care Associates, Youngstown.
Mr. Sofranko is a journeyman carpenter with Gaglione Construction, Canfield. He graduated from Northeast Ohio Joint Apprenticeship Program, Richfield.
Beads and pearls embellished the bride's white strapless gown.
Katrina Weizer of Youngstown was honor attendant. Bridesmaids were Amy McAtte of Toledo; Mary Schiraldi, Leslie Hull, Jackie Heydle and the groom's sister, Christine Sofranko, all of Boardman; and Jodi Pocsatko of Cincinnati. They wore black and white dresses. Marissa Witt of Cincinnati, the groom's cousin, was flower girl.
The groom's brother, Jacob Sofranko, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jared Hunter, Christopher Kidd, Mathew Clark, Mathew Strom and the bride's brother, Stephen Hurtuk, all of Boardman, and Christopher Hull of Columbus. Ring bearer was Paul Witt, Fairlawn, his cousin.
