XBOARDMAN -- Jamaica was the honeymoon destination of Mark John Fusillo of Youngstown and his bride, the former Ida Rosa Sorriento, following their wedding at 1:30 p.m. Aug. 23 at the gazebo in Boardman Township Park and reception afterward at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Social Hall, Youngstown.
The bride is a daughter of Grazia Sorriento of McDonald and the late Santo Stefano Sorriento, and parents of the groom are Louis and Karen Fusillo of Youngstown.
Styled on princess lines, the bride's sleeveless gown was enhanced with beaded embroidery and featured a bateau neckline, side pleats and a chapel train.
Latte-colored gowns were worn by the bride's sister and honor attendant, Angelina Joseph, and the bridesmaids, Jeana Fusillo, a sister of the groom; Amy Mancini; and Gina Vechiarelli. Flower girls were the bride's nieces, Katie and Sara Joseph.
The duties of best man were performed by the groom's father, and groomsmen were his brother, Christopher Fusillo; Lou Vega; and Jose Rivera. Ring bearers were Mark and Mario Fusillo, sons of the groom.
The bride is employed at Poland Family Practice. She holds a bachelor's degree from Youngstown State University, where she is enrolled in the master of public heath program with Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine, Rootstown.
The groom, an executive chef with Fusillo Catering in Youngstown, graduated from the Pennsylvania Institute of Culinary Arts.
