XARLINGTON, Va. -- The wedding of Anne Christine Peterson and Michael Jackson Ramires took place at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Arlington at 10 a.m. Aug. 23. The bride is a daughter of D. Anna Buchanan, 2600 E. Western Reserve Road, Poland, and Dr. Paul C. Peterson, 12780 Wahingtonville Road, Canfield. Mr. Ramires is a son of Manuela Ramires of Lincolnshire, Ill.
The Rev. Linda Olson Peebles officiated, and a reception followed at the Ritz Carlton Hotel in Pentagon City, Va. The couple honeymooned on Turtle Island in Fiji and live at 1200 N. Nash St.
The bride wore a mermaid-style gown of ivory organza. Covered buttons added back interest, and the skirt flowed to a chapel train.
Kathleen Ott was matron of honor, and bridesmaid was Linda Thomas. They wore periwinkle gowns.
The duties of best man were performed by Larry Samuel, and groomsmen were Cary Cunningham, Dale Mitchell and Sean Barlas.
Mrs. Ramires graduated from Miami University in Oxford with a bachelor's degree in mathematics. She earned her master's in statistics at George Washington University, Washington, where she is pursuing a doctorate in biostatistics. She is president and owner of Insight Policy Research.
Her husband graduated from the American University with a bachelor's degree in finance and international relations. He is executive vice president of the Richman Group and principal of MJR Financial Services.
