Is Tim Hiller the next Justin Zwick?
Zwick led Orrville to a state Division IV championship as a freshman and became one of the most highly touted quarterback recruits ever at Ohio State. He's now battling for the No. 3 spot with the Buckeyes behind Craig Krenzel and Scott McMullen.
Hiller is making his own mark with the Red Riders.
The 6-foot-4, 205-pound junior passed for 419 yards, with 240 of those and all three of his touchdown strikes going to classmate Tom Brenner, in a 28-14 win over Lexington last week.
Hiller and Brenner hooked up for touchdowns covering 95, 69 and 18 yards. Hiller completed 17-of-31 passes and Brenner had six catches.
"I'm sure those are school records," said 16-year Orrville coach Bill McMillan. "Tim's a very good quarterback and the best thing about it is he's still learning."
