STREET PAVING
City of Farrell
The city will spend $146,862 to pave portions of four streets and two alleys using federal Community Development Block Grant funds. The federal money can be spent only in low-income neighborhoods, and the targeted areas fit that requirement. City council awarded the paving contract Monday to Butch & amp; McCree Paving Inc. of Hillsville. To be paved are:
Adams Street: Broadway Avenue to Spearman Avenue.
Union Street: Broadway to Lee Avenue.
Negley Street: Spearman to Wallis Avenue and Hamilton Avenue to Beechwood Avenue.
Stevenson Street: Darr Avenue to Wallis Avenue.
An alley between Webster Street and Roemer Boulevard running from Stambaugh Avenue into a parking lot.
An alley between Bond and Negley streets running from Indiana Avenue to Stambaugh.
