SHARON Neighbor helps cops nab suspect; gets license and good description

SHARON, Pa. -- Police said an alert neighbor helped bring a quick resolution to the burglary of a house in the 300 block of South Stateline Road.
Police said the home's occupant was away when a green car pulled into her driveway around 3:30 p.m. Friday and a man got out and began trying the doors and windows of the house in an apparent attempt to get inside.
A neighbor witnessed the man's activities and saw him eventually gain entry through a basement door. When he came back out carrying some items in his hands, the neighbor confronted him, police said.
The suspected burglar put the items in his car and quickly drove away, but not before the neighbor was able to get a good description of him and the car he was driving, as well as its license plate number.
Police were able to trace the plate to a Sharpsville residence and went there.
They were still there when the suspect, Arthur L. Norris, 30, of Baldwin Avenue, Sharon, drove up in the car.
He was charged with burglary, theft and receiving stolen property and was sent to Mercer County Jail on $10,000 bond and a parole detainer. Police said he was on parole from a previous crime.
Police searched the trunk of the car and found a Sony PlayStation and some games stolen in the burglary.
