Skye's Spirit Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Center is dedicated to the care, rehabilitation and release of injured and orphaned wildlife. The following list contains items the center could use to help it continue operations.
Monetary donations: Always needed for housing, feeding and veterinary bills. The center is not federally or state funded.
Building supplies: Lumber, netting, screen, welded wire, fencing, roofing, waterproofing, nails, fiberglass sheeting, screws, etc. ... Anything for building cages, pens, pastures, etc.
Containers: Animal carriers, aquariums, chain link fence and/or dog runs, animal cages (large, small, plastic, metal, new, used).
Artificial turf, mats: Used for cage mats, perch covering, etc.
Animal food: Can use almost any kind of cat or dog food. Duck or turkey starter mash and bird seed. Also, pet milk replacer and pet nursers. Baby cereal, meats and fruits. Food and water dishes or troughs of any kind.
Heating pads, blankets, towels, heat lamps: Used for orphaned baby animals and to help warm up an animal in shock.
Trees, feed-quality hay: Young trees that can be planted in and around animal enclosures. Hay is used for feed and bedding.
Garbage cans, storage bins: Any size or type.
Pea gravel: The larger enclosures require pea gravel for flooring material.
Cleaning supplies: Bleach, laundry soap, paper towels, disinfectants, anti-bacterial soap, dish soap, etc.
Office equipment and supplies: Copy machine, paper, envelopes, stamps, advertising and promotional services, copy service.
Medical/veterinary supplies: Microscope, stethoscope, opthalmascope/otoscope, autoclave, centrifuge, slides, gauze pads, tape, surgical gloves, medications, etc.
Ebay, flea market, yard sale items: Any items that can be used to sell to help raise funds. These items do not have to be associated with wildlife or medical care. Clean out your house and bring it to us.
Farm tractor with implements: Need a farm tractor to take care of the grounds.
