Croysdale scores 4 goals in Fitch victory

AUSTINTOWN -- Kelly Croysdale had four goals, while Jodi Bowlen and Brittney Getz contributed two apiece, to pace Austintown Fitch High to an 8-1 victory over Niles in a girls soccer game Saturday.
Bowlen, Amanda Sprowl and Sarah Vaughn each delivered two assists for the Falcons (6-2-2), while Erica Bortmas had one assist.
Fitch used three goalies, with Kristi Brendlinger leading the way with 11 saves. Sarah Baker added four saves and Cara Calai one save.
Niles (5-4-1) got its goal from Lindsey on an assist from Tyler Fridley. Red Dragons' goalie Kelsy Mikesell had nine saves.
Fitch outshot Niles, 25-18.
St. Vincent-St. Mary 1, JFK 0
WARREN -- Amber Zarycki scored the game's only goal on a 25-yard free kick with 19 minutes left to give Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary the win over Warren JFK.
St. Vincent-St. Mary (6-2-1) is ranked No. 8 in Ohio in Class AA.
JFK (6-2-2) was outshot by Akron, 10-6. Eagles' goalie Aarika Knepp had nine saves, while St. Vincent goalie Brenda Bunnell had four saves.
Westlake 3, Mooney 1
HUDSON -- Hanna Wilde scored two goals and Jacqueline Dilillo added one for the Division I 10th ranked Westlake (6-1-1).
Kelli Willis scored a goal for the Cardinals (3-4-1). it was her 10th of the season.
Mooney goalkeeper Natalie Humphreys recorded 12 saves.
Boys
HUBBARD -- Ray Urban scored a goal as Hubbard (4-3-2) tied Badger 1-1.
Brad Panak gave the Braves (7-2-1) the lead when he scored in the first half on an assist from Kyle Arnold.
Badger had six shots on goal, compared to 14 for Hubbard.
Josh Gilliland, goalkeeper, had 12 saves for the Braves. Aaron Severa had four saves for the Eagles.
Canfield 3, Howland 1
CANFIELD -- David Piersante scored two goals and Matt Pietro scored one for the Cardinals (7-3) in the Metro Athletic Conference game.
Rob Kline had an assist. Freshman goalkeeper Drew Turocy had seven saves.
Heartland Christian 6,Faith Community Academy 1
COLUMBIANA -- Jordan Uhl scored three goals and had an assist for the Lions (7-2). Blake Kozma had a goal and an assist. Mike Barborak and John Congelio added a goal apiece.
The Lions had 38 shots on goal, compared to nine for the losers.
