WARREN -- Authorities are investigating the death of a 41-year-old Youngstown Road S.E. woman.
Kimberly Messersmith was found dead in her bedroom Thursday, according to police reports.
The Trumbull County Coroner's Office is investigating.
Two men arrestedin thefts from cars
HUBBARD -- Two Youngstown men are being held on $10,000 bond each after police charged them with stealing items from cars throughout a Hubbard neighborhood.
City police said Steven Tate, 18, and Brian Alston, 21, were arrested around 2:30 a.m. Thursday after they were seen walking along West Liberty Street carrying a stereo taken from an unlocked car.
Alston was charged with four counts of receiving stolen property, and Tate was arrested on a single count of receiving stolen property and one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.
Both pleaded innocent Thursday afternoon in Girard Municipal Court.
Police said the men were entering unlocked vehicles on Westview, Grandview and Parish avenues and removing items.
Preliminary hearings are set for 10: 30 a.m. Wednesday.
Warren YMCA plansnew class offerings
WARREN -- The YMCA is offering new classes beginning Oct. 13.
A step aerobics class will be at the Eastwood branch in Niles from 5 to 5:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. There is no charge for members. Nonmembers must buy a $30 fitness ticket good for the whole session.
A beginner yoga class also will be at Eastwood from 9 to 9:40 a.m. Mondays, Wednesday and Fridays.
Hatha yoga will be from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Oct. 14 at the downtown Warren Y.
The cost for both yoga classes is $25 for members, $40 for nonmembers and $10 for drop-ins.

Man tries to abduct12-year-old boy
AUSTINTOWN -- Police are looking for a man in an older Ford Taurus who tried to abduct a 12-year-old boy who was riding his bicycle along South Raccoon Road.
According to police reports, the boy was on his way home from skating about 8 p.m. Wednesday when a black Taurus with a gold grill pulled up, cutting him off. The report says the driver got out of the vehicle, jumped over the hood, grabbed the boy's arm and tried to pull him off his bike.
The boy told police he broke free and fled through a church parking lot to a gas station across the street with the man in his Taurus chasing him.
A clerk at the gas station called the boy's parents and police.
The man is described as white, about 5 feet 11 inches tall, with dark brown hair shaved on the sides and back, and a mustache.
Police agencies sharedrug forfeiture funds
YOUNGSTOWN -- Eight area police agencies in Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties and a state agency have shared more than $111,000 from the federal Drug Enforcement Agency in forfeited drug-related proceeds.
The departments took part in a narcotics investigation conducted by the DEA's task force in Youngstown that concluded in January.
The departments and shares include: Mahoning County Sheriff's Office, $16,055; Salem police, $15,745; Boardman and Warren police, $13,835 each; and the Youngstown, Canfield, Poland and Beaver Township police departments, $10,391 each.
The Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation and Identification received $10,391.
Birds have West Nile
HARRISBURG -- The Pennsylvania Department of Health has confirmed two more dead birds found in Lawrence County tested positive for the West Nile virus.
The dead blue jays were found in Union Township and New Castle.
So far, five dead birds, one mosquito pool and two people have tested positive for the disease in Lawrence County.
Mushroom Mania set
BUTLER, Pa. -- Mushroom Mania 5 will be from 7:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Saturday at the Econolodge on Pa. Route 8.
Gary Lincolff, America's best known mushroom expert, will speak.
