Check auto warranties,BBB advises owners
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Better Business Bureau is advising consumers to check the company that issues their extended auto warranty. Numerous local people have called the BBB about National Warranty Insurance Corp., which is located in the Cayman Islands.
The company has filed for bankruptcy and is being liquidated, the BBB said. Some claims are being paid, but it is unclear which ones will be paid and when that will happen, the BBB said.
The Southern Nebraska Better Business Bureau is processing complaints against the company because it has offices there. It is unknown if the company will respond to complaints. The local BBB says little can be done if a company goes out of business.
Call the local BBB at (330) 744-3111 for more information.
