HERMITAGE Senior celebration to be at mall

HERMITAGE, Pa. -- The Mercer County Area Agency on Aging will have its annual Senior celebration from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the Shenango Valley Mall.
This is the eighth year for the information and services fair for older adults and their families. More than 70 organizations and businesses are participating in this year's event. There will be health-care providers, medical equipment services, legal and financial advisers, human service agencies, employment training services, retirement community representatives and more.
The event offers free entertainment, senior center crafts and a lot of door prizes. There will also be free blood pressure, balance, general hearing, glaucoma, heart health risk and weight and body mass screenings.
Visitors will also be asked to fill out a quality-of-life survey.

Here's how the day's entertainment schedule shapes up:
J.C. PENNEY STAGE
U 9 a.m.: Senior Citizen Update radio show.
U 10 a.m.: Senior Balance, Senior Aerobics and Pilates.
U 11 a.m.: Senior Stars tap dancers.
U 11:30 a.m.: Energy Choreography.
U 12:15 p.m.: Magic by Raymond.
U 1 p.m.: The Good Old Boys musical group.
SEARS STAGE
U 9 a.m.: Music Therapy.
U 9:45 a.m.: Shenango Valley Senior Community Center Choral Group.
U 10:30 a.m.: Yoga.
U 11:15 a.m.: McQuiston Center Line Dancers.
U Noon: Tai Chi-Qigong
U 12:45 p.m.: Shenango Valley Sashayers square dancing.
