Anyone who has ever been in a marching band knows that there's plenty of playing and drilling before taking to the field. The 145-member Youngstown State University Marching Band will perform Saturday at YSU's game. Thursday, drum major John Hawkins, above, led the brass players through a rehearsal at Stambaugh Stadium. One of them, trumpet player Mike Chuirazzi of Niles, right, displayed an intense look of concentration.
