XHOWLAND -- The marriage of Shannon Pearce and Christopher Darak was solemnized by the Rev. Jerry Kruse on Aug. 16 at Howland Community Church. Afterward the couple accepted congratulations at a reception held at Leo's Ristorant & eacute;.
The bride, a daughter of John and Barbara Pearce, Woodhill Circle, Warren, and the groom, a son of Delores and Michael Darak, Butler Road, Warren, honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica, and live in Chicago.
The bride's strapless silk satin gown was embellished with rhinestones and bugle beads and featured a cathedral train.
Gowned in black were the bride's sister and honor attendant, Jennifer Pearce, and the bridesmaids, Carla Darak, a sister of the groom; Claudia Darak, his sister-in-law; Julieann Pearce, the bride's cousin; Tisha Wooddell; and Kelli Klomanc. Flower girls were the bride's cousins, Elizabeth and Vivian Kellar.
The duties of best man were performed by Chuck Reel, and groomsmen were Michael Darak, the groom's brother; Dan Lazzari, his cousin; Ted Wern; Bill Day; and Jerrett Marcello.
The bride graduated from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in comprehensive science and secondary education. She is a physics teacher and head track coach at Mother Theodore Guerin High School in Chicago.
The groom earned a degree in liberal arts from Kent State University, and is president of AGN Futures, a Chicago-based commodity brokerage firm.
