It was a club sandwiched between an erotic bookstore and a laundromat. Outside, pink neon signs flashed Girls! Girls! Girls! and reflected gaudily off the black T-shirts worn by the three large men who stood outside, their muscular arms folded across their beefy chests.
Inside, the main lounge was dark. A large round stage was situated in the center of the room. Cages that hung by chains from the ceiling were placed near the four corners. ... Overhead, in the center of the room, was a large disco ball that slowly and seductively spun on its axis ... Beyond was the locker room for the girls. It was dirty and rundown with gaping holes in the walls that inebriated, strung-out, or infuriated dancers had kicked or punched.
