HUBBARD
Sept. 10
Thefts: A woman in the 100 block of Church Street reported finding her vehicle's door open and a CD player missing. Also, six other people reported their cars broken into.
Theft: A woman in the 100 block of Bentley Street reported her vehicle broken into.
Theft: A man in the 100 block of Christian Avenue reported his vehicle broken into and a cellular phone stolen.
Theft: A man in the 500 block of West Liberty Street reported someone stole checks from him.
Bad check: An employee at Patton's IGA Super Center, 880 W. Liberty St., reported receiving a check drawn on a closed account.
Sept. 12
Recovered property: A Lordstown man who alleged a woman borrowed and failed to return his car found his vehicle in Niles.
Theft: Someone took a cellular phone from a vehicle in the 100 block of Bentley Street.
Sept. 15
Theft: A man in the 800 block of Doris Drive reported a credit card stolen and $500 worth of fraudulent purchases placed on it.
Theft: An employee at Video Express, 230 N. Main St., made several reports of merchandise theft.
LIBERTY
Sept. 9
Theft: A Niles woman reported several prescription medications stolen from her room while she stayed at the Holiday Inn MetroPlex, 1610 Motor Inn Drive.
Criminal damage: A woman in the 4000 block of Sampson Road reported someone used an incendiary device to destroy her mailbox and damage a light post.
Arrest: Police arrested a 30-year-old man at his Hadley Avenue residence on a warrant charging him with domestic violence.
Assault: A Hubbard woman alleged a 17-year-old girl struck her daughter, also 17, in the back of the neck and mouth while the two were at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way.
Sept. 10
Auto theft: A 1966 Lincoln Continental was stolen from the Valvoline Instant Oil Change parking lot, 3121 Belmont Ave.
Arrest: A 37-year-old Columbiana man was arrested in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road on an escape charge.
Sept. 11
Arrest: After a traffic stop on state Route 193, police charged a 37-year-old Girard man with failure to appear in court to face a parole violation charge and possession of drug paraphernalia. Police found a suspected crack pipe in the man's eyeglass case.
Theft/criminal damage: Someone damaged a vehicle's driver's-side door lock and stole four speakers, an 800-watt amplifier and a 400-watt amplifier in the 3000 block of Green Acres Drive.
Sept. 12
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on Youngstown-Hubbard Road for having expired license plates, police arrested a Youngstown man, 36, on a warrant charging him with probation violation. He also was charged with driving under a suspended license and drug abuse after officers say he admitted having a small bag of suspected marijuana.
Attempted burglary: Nothing was missing from a residence in the 1200 block of Church Hill-Hubbard Road after someone broke in through a rear door.
Criminal damage: Someone used a key to scratch a car's driver's-side rear door while the vehicle was parked at Liberty High School, 1 Leopard Way.
Arrest: After a traffic stop near Green Acres and Colonial drives, police arrested a 21-year-old Youngstown man on charges of obstructing official business, driving under a suspended license and failure to appear in court to face a domestic-violence charge.
Arrest: After stopping a vehicle on state Route 193 for having expired license plates, police arrested a 45-year-old Youngstown man on a warrant from Summit County charging him with child endangering. He also was issued three traffic citations.
Sept. 13
Aggravated robbery: An employee at Burger King, 2319 Belmont Ave., reported two men in their early to mid-20s broke in through a rear door. She also said one of the men forced her at gunpoint to open a safe and that she was forced into a large walk-in cooler. An undetermined amount of money was taken.
Sept. 14
Theft: An employee at Pizza Hut, 3903 Belmont Ave., reported a man stole her purse and cellular phone from a counter area.
Recovered property: Police found an abandoned 1984 Chevrolet Celebrity, stolen in Niles, in the Bank One parking lot, 3999 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman reported her daughter's mountain bike stolen from a carport in the 10 block of Holly Drive.
Arrest: After his car was stopped for having a loud exhaust system, police charged a 20-year-old Youngstown man with possession of drug paraphernalia. Police say they found three suspected marijuana pipes in a wooden box inside the vehicle. They charged a 21-year-old McDonald man in the car with driving under a suspended license and with two other violations.
Sept. 15
Arrests: After pulling over a vehicle for speeding on Motor Inn Drive, police arrested a woman, 32, and a man, 37, both from Youngstown. The woman was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers found a suspected crack pipe on her lap; the man was charged with driving under a suspended license.
Theft/criminal damage: Someone damaged a vehicle's locks and stole gasoline from the car in the Valley Counseling Services Inc. parking lot, 4970 Belmont Ave.
Theft: A woman in the 1600 block of East Liberty Street alleged a 29-year-old woman removed two credit cards from the victim's purse and used one of them to make $1,000 worth of purchases.
Arrest: After a traffic stop on Holly Drive, police charged a Niles woman, 38, with probation violation and driving under a suspended license.
Recovered property: A 1988 Pontiac Bonneville stolen in Youngstown was recovered in the 200 block of Colonial Drive.
Domestic violence: Police arrested a 32-year-old man at his Church Hill-Hubbard Road residence on a domestic-violence charge after a woman alleged he punched her twice and scratched her right side during an argument about custody of their child.
GIRARD
Sept. 14
Attempted vehicular assault: A man in the 40 block of West Liberty Street reported someone driving a white car, possibly a Pontiac, tried to hit him as the man walked near Market and Second streets.
Recovered property: A stolen 1990 Chevrolet Lumina was found near Interstate 80 after being destroyed by fire.
Theft: A woman reported her purse missing from her vehicle when she was at Dairy Queen, 201 S. State St.
Theft: A man in the 500 block of Hazel Street reported someone jacked up his car and removed two tires and wheels.
Sept. 15
Theft: A woman reported a package delivered to her home was stolen near her garage in the 1000 block of North State Street.
Criminal mischief: A woman reported two male juveniles broke a window at First Christian Church of Girard, 140 E. Broadway Ave.
