Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mushrush feted at surprise party for 60th jubilee



XGIRARD -- A surprise dinner and celebration at McMenamy's in Niles took place Aug. 30 in honor of the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Mushrush of 280 E. 2nd St.
Arrangements for the festivity were made by the couple's children and their spouses, Rollie and Berri Mushrush of Canton; Dan and Marcy Mushrush of Brentwood, Tenn.; Norma and Ted Roberts of Warren; Marilyn Wojnar of Chandler, Ariz.; Joy and Doug Sears of Niles; and Gaye and George Martuccio of Girard. Seventeen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren complete their family.
Mr. Mushrush and the former Patricia Blaine were married Sept. 9, 1943, in San Bernardino, Calif. He served in the 8th Air Force, 364th Fighter Group, and worked as an installation foreman for Ohio Bell Telephone Co. in Youngstown until retiring in 1981. He is a member of the Telephone Pioneers and the American Legion.
His wife is a homemaker.
The couple belong to St. Rose Church and are members of the Girard Alumni Association.
