MARCIE GRISTGARY CALVERT
XBOARDMAN -- Marcie Grist and Gary Calvert were married during a 2 p.m. ceremony Aug. 30 at St. James Meeting House in Boardman Township Park.
The Rev. William Johnson officiated for the daughter of Patricia and Samuel Grist of Poland, and son of Kenneth and Susan Gragorace of Greenville and Roland and Kathleen Calvert of Millersville, Md.
A reception at The Georgetown followed, and the couple honeymooned in Sanibel Island, Fla. They live in Springboro.
Swarovski crystals, pearls, sequins and blue beads embellished the bodice of the bride's strapless A-line gown and it featured a draped satin overlay.
Sheri Pesce was the honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Vivian Grist, the bride's sister-in-law; Tina Peebles and Erin Gragorace, the groom's sisters; Sarah Orr; and Carri Toto. The groom's niece, Arianna Peebles, was flower girl.
Best man was Tony Gragorace, and groomsmen were Craig Grist, the bride's brother; Vincent Gragorace, the groom's brother; Dennis Peebles, his brother-in-law; and Johnny Gragorace. Ring bearer was Billy Orr.
Mrs. Calvert is a nursing home administrator in Lebanon, Ohio. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology at Youngstown State University and a master's in gerontological studies from Miami University where she is employed part-time as a teacher.
Mr. Calvert served as an intelligence specialist for eight years with the U.S. Army. He is pursuing a degree in engineering physics at Wright State University.
