LISBON 4 contractors bid for work at municipal building site

LISBON -- Four area contractors submitted bids for site work at the Columbiana County Municipal Court building to be constructed north of Lisbon off of Saltwell Road.
Columbiana County commissioners opened the bids and gave them to Architect Terry McCoy of Hanahan Strollo & amp; Associates Inc. of Youngstown for review.
Marucci and Gaffney Excavating of Youngstown bid $407,436 as a base bid. For alternate portions of the bid package, a chain-link fence and security gates, Marucci and Gaffney bid $16,390 and $29,750, respectively.
Larry Murphy Dump Truck Service Inc. of Beloit bid $315,771 as a base bid, and $9,500 and $16,675 on the alternate bids.
For electrical services needed during the site work, B & amp;J Electric of North Lima bid $33,941. University Electric of Youngstown bid $19,995.
McCoy estimated costs at $410,554 for general work, $18,000 for the chain-link fence alternate, $29,250 for the security gates alternate and $29,250 for the electrical work.
