SHARON, PA. Enterprise zone's board agrees to lend funds to 2 businesses

SHARON, Pa. -- The Shenango Valley Enterprise Zone Corp. has approved a pair of business loans that will help create seven jobs in the city.
The enterprise zone's board of directors agreed Wednesday to loan $150,000 to G.W. Becker Inc. at 680 S. Dock St. and up to $87,150 to WinTronics Inc. of 191 Pitt St.
Becker, a crane manufacturer, is buying new machinery and will take $15,000 of the loan as working capital. The loan is at 3.4 percent for 10 years.
Becker will also borrow $125,000 from Sky Bank and to finance the project which will create three jobs and allow the2222 company to retain five others.
WinTronics, a manufacture of computer components, will get its loan at 2.4 percent for five years.
The company is also borrowing $87,150 from Penn-Northwest Development Corp. to finance the purchase of machinery for a new product line.
WinTronics will create four jobs with this project.
