HELOISE Recipe repeated for cupcakes in cones

Dear Heloise: I have misplaced the recipe for making cupcakes in ice-cream cones. I'd like to make some to take to my son's new classroom. Would you repeat it? A Reader in Oregon
Not a problem, and I'm sure your son's classmates and teachers will love these!
All you need is a cake mix and some flat-bottom ice-cream cones. Mix the cake batter according to package directions, then fill each ice-cream cone about 2/3 full. Here's a hint: Use a muffin tin to hold the ice-cream cones, and it will be easy to put them in the oven.
Bake these treats according to package directions for cupcakes, let cool completely, and then it's time for frosting and decorating! Heloise
P.S. You can top them with marshmallows as they come out of the oven for a no-hassle frosting.
Dear Heloise: I have a clever idea for whipping cream. I take a plastic-wrap bowl cover, put it over the bowl and cut an "X" in the middle. Just pop your beaters through the hole and whip away, with no cream splatters anywhere!
I wash and reuse mine, but they are cheap enough to throw away when they get too messy. Vicki O., Via E-mail
Dear Heloise: I was in need of a container for salad dressing, and I had none. I put the dressing in a sandwich bag and tied the bag closed so it would not leak, then placed it in my salad container. It's there to use when I'm ready to eat. Jim from Maine
When you're ready to eat your salad, just snip a corner of the sandwich bag and squeeze out the dressing. Heloise
Dear Heloise: My daughter and I enjoy grocery shopping together. One of the problems we faced was knowing whose groceries belonged to whom after we put them in the trunk of the car and drove home.
The cashier at the grocery store suggested tying the ends of the bags together for my daughter and leaving my bags untied. Problem solved.
When we arrive home, my daughter transfers her tied bags to her car, and she gets all of the correct bags of groceries. Sue Browning, Waynesboro, Va.
Dear Heloise: I'm always trying to come up with little ideas that are great when it comes to entertaining. Right now, wineglass markers are a hot item, a way to determine whose glass is whose at a party.
I have hit on something that works for beverage glasses or soda cans. You can buy inexpensive, brightly colored and decorated elastic ponytail holders, and problem solved in a fashionable way!
The elastic bands can also be used as napkin rings. Bon app & eacute;tit, Kay H., Paris, Texas
