Dr. Cowens to retain minority health post

COLUMBUS -- Dr. Kenneth G. Cowens of Youngstown has been reappointed to the Commission on Minority Health, the office of Gov. Bob Taft said. Cowens, whose term ends Sept. 2, 2005, is in private practice in internal medicine and pediatrics. He has a bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas and a medical degree from Meharry Medical College.
The commission promotes health and the prevention of disease among minority groups. Members are paid only for expenses.
